Comware 5900 works with OpenFlow Controller in Hardwar for IPv4 Layer 2
Hello,
I setup yesterday a Comware 5900 with the sdn 2.0 controller from HP and it worked perfectly fine for Layer 2 IPv4 flows. As advertised IPv6 neighbour discovery does not work. The flows are installed in hardware and give me wire speed without CPU consumption 0. Now I'm looking for controller that is capable of doing routing in IPv4 and IPv6. Load between two switches is not balanced as mentioned in the technical white paper for the controller. But the failover is less than one second if I pull the active cable.
Minimal config is:
vlan 4092 openflow instance 1 mac-learning forbidden classification vlan 4092 controller 1 address ip 192.168.0.1 active instance interface Vlan-interface1 ip address 192.168.0.2 255.255.255.0 interface GigabitEthernet1/0/43 port link-mode bridge port access vlan 4092 interface GigabitEthernet1/0/44 port link-mode bridge port access vlan 4092 interface GigabitEthernet1/0/45 port link-mode bridge port access vlan 4092 interface GigabitEthernet1/0/46 port link-mode bridge port access vlan 4092 interface GigabitEthernet1/0/47 port link-mode bridge port access vlan 4092 interface GigabitEthernet1/0/48 port link-mode bridge port access vlan 4092
Ping between two nodes across two switches is below 0.3 ms. This is antoher indicator that it is working in hardware.
Cheers,
Thomas

Hi,
Could you please share the topology/switch details and the problems you are facing?
Thanks,
