HP 5930 Restrictions on using group table in a table-miss flow entry

Hello,

I am using Floodlight controller for the HP 5930 switch. I am having trouble adding a table-miss flow entry in the extensibility table that will forward the packet to a group. I have created a group with group_number = 1, group_type = ALL, 2 buckets, each bucket with a different output action. Does this table-miss flow entry require any specific fields in order to forward the packet to the group table? Are there any restrictions while using the group table?

The flow rule I am trying to add is:

name: flow-mod-2, cookie: 0, priority: 0, active: true, instruction_write_actions: group=1

Hi Kunal,

Does the switch return an error when you attempt to push the flow, or when you attempt to configure the group?

Also, if you can enable debug-level output on the switch console while the group/flow is being configured, then that may give insight into why it is rejected. I'd give specifics, but I'm not as familiar with the 5930 CLI.
