Why does HPE recommend a debian VM to install HPEPP which is downloaded as a redhat rpm ?

This KB

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-a00077580en_us

Under "work around"...

However the latest HPEPP tar.gz

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_b283ae85261c4945a2db07a407

Doesn't list debian as a suppported OS, and has an rpm build ?
