HPE Primera OS Update 4.6.3 Release Notes

The HPE Primera OS Update 4.6.3 delivers essential OS quality and security enhancements. As an Extended Support Release (ESR), Update 4.6.3 is designed for customers who prefer to maintain their current OS version while applying updates focused solely on issue resolution and security fixes, ensuring continued eligibility for the 100% Data Availability Guarantee.

The following issues are addressed in HPE Primera OS Update 4.6.3:

• A Remote Copy volume remains inaccessible to hosts, potentially leading to System Manager restarts and even a storage system outage.
• An unexpected iostack restart occurs when the vvmastership rebalance and snapshot removal garbage collection processes run concurrently on a virtual volume family.
• Remote Copy group stop operations result in unplanned controller node restarts.
• One storage system reports the Remote Copy link as up, while the other reports it as down.
• A RAID set failure on the secondary Remote Copy system results in a group stop deadlock.
• The System Manager unexpectedly restarts when creating a virtual volume (VV) with a retention time configured.
