New A80000A SAN Switch erroring on all GBICs
I am installing a new Cluster File Gateway for Linux (aka PolyServe) that comes with 2 SAN switches.
The CFS Gateway is P/N AG687A (http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/evafs/index.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN) and includes two A8000A HP StorageWorks 4/8 Base SAN switches
It says it's supposed to include 16 4GB GBICs, but it only showed up with 8 installed - 4 per switch.
On power-up, both switches are showing SPF errors on ALL GBICs. I've tried GBICs from other devices, and they all have the same issue.
?????
I've gone through the setup tools an can find NOTHING in error.
This thing is supposed to come up as an "appliance" out of the box - I'm not supposed to touch anything. Clearly it was never even powered on when HP integrated it...
P.S. This thread has been moved from Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Enterprise) to Polyserve Solutions. - Hp Forum moderator
