Add new disk to storeeasy 1650 difference size

 Hi to all.

I've a storeeasy 1650 with 32 TB. Only one pool e only logical device on raid 6 configuration. I've bought four 10 TB new disk. The hpe smart wizard said me: CC_POOLMGR_ERR_SOME_OF_THE_DISKS_ARE_OF_DIFFERENT_SIZE.

The old disk are 6TB each. Is theere a way to create to create a new storage pool with new disk?

Thank you to all in advance.

Re: Add new disk to storeeasy 1650 difference size

There is a maximum drive size(8TB) limitation while using Pool Manager.

You could use HPE SSA (Smart storage Administrator) utility to create a new array and logical drive with out impacting existing configuration:

@ENPAP .......you can check the below Admin Guide (page no 75 onwards)  to get idea about Pool Manager usage,

You haven't shared exact product model or the Operating System you are running. It means whether you are using "HPE StoreEasy 1650 Storage" or "HPE StoreEasy 1650 Expanded Storage". You can refer Quickspec and follow Page no 4 & 5

https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04111444

Regarding SSA, as Arun mentioned you need to follow the same.

Hope this helps!
