looking for a DVD which supports NAS 1200s

Hi! I am looking for a HP DVD-ROM for NAS 1200s, and I found an older article, it says that:

"Cradle for below drives DC373B
Combo Drive DC364B
DVD/RW DG189B"

These are okay for NAS 1200s, but I can't find them now. Just wondering if there is any newer DVD-ROM supporting NAS 1200s? Thx...

I use a LiteOn SHM-165P6SX USB 2.0 DVD+RW drive for ours.

Does that drive support support recovery? I need something to be able to recover my 1000s. Everything I have tried so far does not work... I just bought a DC373A because I expected it to take a full size DVD IDE drive...but it looks to me like it is for a laptop sized drive or something, unless they shipped me the wrong thing.

I only used it for Quick Restore, it worked perfect.

I had previously tried using the DVD drive from an NC6000 and the matching external usb adapter, but it would not boot to it.

I assume that it will work with my 1000s then for quick recovery. Now the trick is to find one...

I just bought a Pioneer DVR-X122 external USB drive at Best Buy and it worked perfectly for the restore.
