Hi,
I have several old tape drives ML 4048's and 2024's. I am having issues with these devices and L&TT is telling me to udate the firmware as one option to fix...
I am trying to download the latest through L&TT vs4.22, but the path to the FTP site http://ftp.hp.com/pub/information_storage/ltt/firmware is bad, so no love there.
Also, trying to download from HP requires a sign in and support contract to download.
Can someone fill me in on what I need to do to get the latest firmware installed on my aging drives??

Re: 4048/2024 Firmware
HP.com does not provide the files anymore, because it is another company.
HPE provides the files with entitlement required since a few weeks.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

SolutionThanks Torsten.
I finally called Enterprise support and they provided the .frm files I needed.
The rep told me that providing the frimware files is still free, but requires a call to the support line and that is about all that is free anymore unless you have a support contract.
The HP rep set up a ftp site for me to download as our mail servers are very picky as to what they let in...

Re: 4048/2024 Firmware
the latest version of ltt sends you to the hpe passport login so you can get an entitlement token
