Backup to Ulrium 960 using Windows Server 2003 native backup utility
Will the Windows Server 2003 native backup utility work with Ultrium 960 drives, in particular when installed in the MSL4048? I have a short-term multi-terabyte backup requirement that does not justify spending $$$ on additional CA BrightStor ARCserve licenses.

Steve:
I do not think that the native backup utility supports tape libraries, but I could be wrong.
You can also donwload Data Protector and use it free for 60 days.

Yes, if you configure the tape drive(s) properly, you can use any kind of backup tools to store data on the tape drives. Although you may need to load tapes manually.
