C1555d Internal DAT drive
I have installed a C1555d internal drive using the appropriate SCSI card and terminated cable and the OS is Windows XP home with the latest tape drive from HP site. When installing the hardware the system "finds" 7 instances of the drive under the system icon Tape drives in the system information information dialogue box, but does not show it in "my computer" so I cannot mount the drive. What am I doing wrong?

Re: C1555d Internal DAT drive
Allan, The tape drive does not get assigned a drive letter and therefore would not show up in "my computer" Download the Library and Tape Tools diagnostic from this site to see if you can run some tests. You will need to stop Removable Storage Manager under services and also stop your back up software services before you run LTT.
