Re: C1557A and L&TT firmware upgrade:
We looked at your support ticket. We still have to do some research on the personality issue.
But if you look at the 'device analysis' section of the media changer part of the ticket you attached, it points out several problems with the loader portion of your device, such as the magazine not rotating properly.
If you're experiencing problems, these issues should be addressed and may solve your problem without a firmware upgrade.

Re: C1557A and L&TT firmware upgrade:
Thanks for the update. We'll look into the problem you've pointed out. I'm surprised we didn't get any indications of this during our testing and use of the product.

SolutionWe've not been able to find any copy of U007 firmware for this device. Is this drive a regular HP end-user, or an OEM product? Has it been purchased from HP for a HP-UX system or a trade-ready system?
This should explain your personlity problems. L&TT usually only supports the personalities of HP trade ready units, not any OEM units.

Re: C1557A and L&TT firmware upgrade:
You're absolutly correct! This is a SUN configured unit. Thanks for the insight...we'll be able to at least move forward now without questions about what works and doesn't. Also, we did find the problem with the loader, again thanks to you.
