C6364A DAT tape question

Hey, I want to backup a computer using a C6364A DAT drive, but don't know what type of DAT tape to use. Can anyone help me?

Thanks
Michael

Re: C6364A DAT tape question

Hi Michael,

Are you sure you have the right product number there? I put that product number into the product search on hp.com and it came back with "HP SMART SCSI Disk Drives".

Cheers,

Re: C6364A DAT tape question

Actually, you're right, it was a part number. It's actually a HP SMART DDS3 DAT Desktop Drive. I also found a 4mm DDS-125 DAT tape. It says at the bottom of the package DDS3...would this work? I'm not sure what the DDS-125 means as opposed to the DDS3 at the bottom.

DDS3 is a standard that use cartridges long 125 meters.
