Colorado tape drive

I am trying to install a Colorado with XP. It will come up and the 2000 9.0 software apears to work. But I get an error message "Program error detected in the media access subsystem: 1001". Any help??

you don't mention which Colorado drive you have. not all of them work in XP

Sorry about that. It's a colorado 8GB external.

Getting an external drive to work in XP can be a very dicey proposition. This doc may help but it's been my experience that it only works about half the time. follow the steps to the letter for the best chance of success. If it doesn't work you're probably done for.
