Control Robot of tape library MSL3040
Dear Support!
Recently we buy new tape library MSL3040 and during configure with Symantec Netcbakup of Media Server appear new question. In back side TPL have 4 FC port from 4 drive and 1 LAN for management. Now how Media server should see and control robot, I mean which of port and transport?
Thanks!

Re: Control Robot of tape library MSL3040
Usually, the Library itself (the Gripper/Robot) is controlled by passing through Drive 0.
So, if the Software says "Get Cartridge 10" this is sent as a SCSI command (using FC or SAS) to Drive 0 and from here internal to the Library Robot.
The 1GB LAN is only used for the Management Web GUI and not provided to the Backup Application.
You don't have to add the Mgmt IP anywhere in the Backup Software.

For the Firmware i guess you need to contact the support team. They might share it: https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/A00039121ENW
