DAT 24x6 Autoloader 5713A

Our company recently purchased this autoloader to assist in tape backups. Our backup software Ultrabac requires that a media changer driver is installed. We are running Windwos 2003 server and no matter what driver we have tried with this device no media changer driver will load with it! Any ideas or thoughts on this problem?

First you need to know if both components (autoloader and tape drive) are being seen by the computer. During POST you should a SCSI ID followed by LUN 0 and LUN 1. If you don't see this you don't have LUN support enabled on the SCSI controller

That was an issue. Installed a different SCSI controller card, reconnected the autoloader. On boot up the LUNs were recognized and the media changer installed.
