DAT 72 USB drive Software

Hi, I just bought DAT 72 USB drive. It came with two cd's HP StorageWorks Dat Drive Drivers and HP Storageworks Data Protector Express Single Server Edition which requires registration after 60 days. According to hp website I am supposed to receive Yosemite Tapeware CD.

My question is Is HP storageworks Data Protector Express is same as Yosemite Tapeware? or I am missing Something?

Ram, we are going through a transition period with software. Although Tapeware originally shipped with the drive, it has been discontinued and replaced with Data Protector express. There is a web link in small letters at the bottom of your CD "sleeve" that tells you where to register and get a license key. It's also in the documentation on the CD itself

I have the Yosemite package with my DW026A and would like to try the HP Data Protector Package, especially since Vista/LH is dropping TBU support and I would like to get ready for 64 bit.

How can I get it?

This link does not seem to work. My new DAT72i USB drive did did not have Data Protector.

Does this program work any better with these drives than Tapeware. Tapeware keeps doing a bus reset in the middle of the backup test which is only a few small files.

Hi,

i have the same problem with the software. I need a License after the 60Days demo license. I have registred the HP DAT72e with serial number and the serial number of the demo license(HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express SIngle Server Edition).
I bought the streamer(the software was included) in 03/2006.
