DAT40 doesn't work with SQL 2005?
I have a new ML370 G4 with an internal DAT40 tape drive. The tape drive is recognized by Server 2003 SP1 and works fine with NTBACKUP. I cannot create a backup device in SQL 2005 SP1. The option for tape is greyed out. Is there a special SQL agent or driver that must be used? I have installed the latest software driver and firmware from HP's website to no avail. TIA.

Re: DAT40 doesn't work with SQL 2005?
Just for grins I hooked up a brand new Ultrium 232 drive and have the same results. SQL 2005 doesn't see tape as an available option.
