Data Protector Agent on Windows Server 2003
Hi!
We have trouble with Data Protector agent version 5.10 on Windows Server 2003. It seems like the agent doesn´t follow our definitions in omnirc. At top of omnirc we define:
OB2PORTRANGESPEC=xMA-NET:18000-18009;xSM-NET:20001-20010
When backup is starting the client will contact the backupserver at undefined ports. Not the ones we told.
This will cause some trouble when backupserver and clients are located at different networks with a firewall between them.
Thankful for any kind of help.

Re: Data Protector Agent on Windows Server 2003
Try being a little less specific and see if that works first:
OB2PORTRANGE=18000-18100
xSM-NET? That's not a valid item.
I suggest you assign ranges to xMA-NET, xSM, CRS, and MMD in OB2PORTRANGESPEC.
Thanks,
Scott

Re: Data Protector Agent on Windows Server 2003
Hello again,
I did try to keep it simple with only:
OB2PORTRANGESPEC=xMA-NET:18000-18009
in omnirc. Unfortunately does the problem remains...
