Data Protector Express v5.0 | 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader on SLES 11 SP1

Hello:
We have the following: DL 380 G7 with a P812 controller. For storage we have 2 D2600s and one 1/8 G2 LTO-5 3000 SAS Tape AutoLoader. We are using SLES 11 SP1 and Data Protector Express v5.0. The problem is with Data Protector Express. It does not recognize the tape drive under the devices tab. The P812, via Array Configuration Utility, does see the tape drive.

Do we need to do something at the OS level (SLES 11) to have Data Protector Express recognize the tape drive?
