device doesn't appear in ARCserve

When I reset my server (HP TC2110) my Dat24 (C1537A) doesn't appear in Manager - Device in ARCserve program.
I have to stop the tape engine, enable and disable the device from Device manager (in Win2000) and start tape engine.
But each time I reset my server the same thing happens.

Install LTT from http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html and check drive/update firmware. If drive will appear to work correctly then you may have software issue. Thy playing with Removable Storage Manager service

Re: device doesn't appear in ARCserve

HI
Yes probably Removable storage is interfering with you backup software, you need to desable his services (not only stop it because at reboot time it would operatate again)
Also if this didn't solve, try to slow downs the transfer rate of the scsi controller trought the bios of your HBA

Ariel,
The TC2110 can have either an IDE or SCSI hard drive. If it is SCSI make sure you are not connected to the same SCSI channel as the hard drive.

Re: device doesn't appear in ARCserve

I ran all LTT tests successfully, I disabled Removable Storage Manager service, I slow down the transfer rate at 20. But nothing happens.
The tc2110 HBA have got 3 connectors and I put my dat in SE because it's 50pin technology.
