Direct Tape Access
I was reading about a software "Direct Tape Access" that let's you map a drive letter to the tape drive. You can just read it that way.
This software was from Seagate then taken over by someone else who no longer produces it.
Anybody know of a software like this???

I think Veritas bought part of Seagate years ago, but they've both discontinued this product now.
You might be able to get a download off the web somewhere or pick up a copy on EBAY, Si suppose.
There were a few other products that did similar stuff in the old days, but the only one I am aware of now is:

Hi Janice on your other post I worte this
Have you tried deleting your catolog files and using CBII to do a media view on just tape one? If your looking to restore specific files form tape one it may work...
