dlt vs800 problem

Hi, I have a problem with out DLT VS800, the warning led is blinking. If I insert a tape on it, the drive ejects it.

Are you inserting new, or VS80 formated DLT IV tapes? If the tapes were formatted in any drive other than a VS80 or DLT4000 they will not work (unless they are degaussed).

Thanks for the reply. Yes the tapes that I am inserting is formatted with vs80 format. I am doing backup using the same drive regularly. I am using a vs80 compatible tape. I encountered this problem just a few days back. I also cleaned the drive using a tape cleanner but still the same blinking light is on. I also tried to reset the external drive by holding the eject botton for 7 sec. and tried to turn it on and off. but still same problem is encountered.
