DLT8000 automatically going to compress mode

Dear all,

This hp dlt8000 when you insert the tape it is automatically going to compress mode.but i dont want in compress mode,i need in normal mode.whether its hardware related issue or systems side.pls help me to sort out this isssue.

I dont know how to disable the HW compression on the DLT8000; after all it is an integral part of the designed capacity of the DLT8000 drive.
I would be interested to know what your actual requirement is; why would you need it uncompressed?
