DLTvs80 and ARCServe 6.5
i'm using a DLT vs80 device on windows nt 4.0 (SP5) with cheyenne arcserve 6.5, build 6.20.
the device is the only one connected to a symbios sym53c895 scsi controller.
the drive appears correctly during boot time on the controller's configuration page. it appears correctly in arcserve's device management.
if i try to make a backup overwriting the media, the backup goes up to 99% and terminates with the AS-error numbers E6300 (NT SCSI PORT ERROR) followed by E3712 (Unable to close Session).
if i try to make a backup without overwriting media, the AS-E6300 (NT SCSI PORT ERROR) appears followed by AS-E3855 (Unable to position media) - the backup is terminated bevore starting.
the WinNT eventlog reports no errors in system and applikation log.
changing registry keys like reportet on the cheyenne web site and updating the scsi-driver don't cause some effekt.
the scsi-bus is terminated by the drive on the one side, and by the controller itself on the other side.
thanks a lot!
