DPE & Scheduling of backups
I am having an odd problem with DPE and setting up a simple backup rotation. Everything works fine with backing up, except the backup job starts way outside of the start time that has been setup for the nightly rotation.
I have verified the start time, yet it still shows that it's starting about 8 hours late when I review the logs. Any ideas?

Re: DPE & Scheduling of backups
Just making some guesses here but if it exactly 8 hours off it is likely related to the clocks on your system.
What OS are you running and what time zone are you in?

Re: DPE & Scheduling of backups
I had thought the same thing initially -- something with the clocks. But it's accurate and in the correct time zone. It's running on XP.
The other thing I was thinking about it maybe power savings was kicking in and not allowing the backup software to kick off.

Re: DPE & Scheduling of backups
Power save might be the issue. If it goes to sleep Data Protector Express can't wake it up to run the backup.
