Re: Drivers

Hi,
If your tape is designed more on automation, you have to use any supported 3rd party backup software for you to have an automated or unattended backup.
Anyway for compatibility purposes, see my attachment oem driver for your dlt tape drive. Try this together with NTSP6a update.

Re: Drivers

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to get Veritas Backup Exec to see the library. As of right now it only see the drive and not the library.

Re: Drivers

There isn't really a "driver" for that library on NT 4. The only "driver" that was ever released for that library was an ini file to tell the OS what it was and I don't know if there was one for NT 4. With the HP version of the same tape library Backup Exec didn't require any drivers. It is possible that Backup Exec doesn't recognize the Compaq inquiry string.

You might also check the SCSI cards under device manager and make certain that the library shows up there.

Re: Drivers

I am not sure if this device uses LUN or not, but if it is, make sure that LUN is enabled in the SCSI BIOS.
