Re: Duplicated MAC addresses

Hi Tomasz

It is highly unlikely for three drives to have the same MAC address as each network interface card (NIC) is assigned a unique MAC address. It is possible that there is a configuration issue, or there could be an error in the hardware or firmware of the drives or library.

You may want to check if the MAC addresses are being reported correctly by running a network diagnostic tool such as Wireshark or tcpdump on the network segment where the drives are connected. This will allow you to capture and analyze the network traffic to verify if the MAC addresses are indeed duplicated.

If the MAC addresses are indeed duplicated, you may need to contact the support team of the drives or library for further assistance. It is also possible that the drives or library may need to be replaced if the issue cannot be resolved.

Hope this helps! Let me know

@TB2

Do let us know where is this duplicate MAC info is shown ? CVTL or backup app ?

Make a note of the config and try doing a Factory reset and test. This should clear the duplicate MAC if this is on the config level.

Hope this helps.
