I am getting the following error after re-installing L&TT 3.4 on a server.
The server was running both L&TT 3.4 and 2.7. To tidy it up I decided to remove 2.7.
Had trouble removing 2.7 (the uninstall kept reinstalling instead of removing).
So I removed 3.4, then removed 2.7 by deleting the key from 'Uninstall' in the registry, reinstalled 2.7 then uninstalled.
Then reinstall 3.4.
Title: hp StorageWorks library and tape tools
Message: L&TT is unable to open the Event Log because of an invalid configuration. Please re-install L&TT.

Solution
We've had a few other reports of LTT uninstall and re-install problems. We're looking into them right now.
If you want to send your email address to ltt_team@hp.com, I'll send you a set of registry/file folder clean-ups that should work.

Re: Error starting L&TT 3.4
Peter confirmed that the cleanup procedure worked.
If anyone else is having LTT install/uninstall issues, send a message to ltt_team@hp.com, and we'll send you the instructions.
Longer term, we'll put an updated procedure in the LTT users guide (BTW, don't follow the current procedure in the users guide - you might delete a registry key you need :-)
