Re: External Colorado 20GB & Veritas Backup My PC
I have had mixed results with the HP Colorado 20GB on Windows 2000 with Backup MyPC.
At the time that I was having my problems, the HP Colorado 20gb external was listed as being supported with Backup MyPC and Windows 2000.
You can check at:
www.stompinc.com
to see if they support that tape drive.
For me the disaster recovery option would not restore. It would go thru the entire operation and then fail at the last part (leaving you with a couple of hours invested without the intended result).
However, I was able to reload windows, reload the HP device drivers, reload Stomp and then restore a previously created "full backup".
I have been searching for a good backup system for my customers. The external HP Colorado's had previously given me this, but this is no longer the case.
I'm looking forward to hearing from other users on this as well.
Tim

If it works, don't fix it!
