Firmware Colorado 20GB

The reburn of firmware worked for me also. However, had to go to dos as windows 98 insisted no need to burn. NOW the real question, Why was it necessary? I suspect firmware upgrade to Lite-on CD-RW may have corrupted Colorado. Any thoughts on this?
