HP DAT24i

Need some help! I am running Win2K pro and using Yosemite Tapeware (all with latest patches). Each time I try to do a backup it does says that there is "No Media". You can usually tell this is going to happen because when you insert the tape the green light flash. The only way that you can eject the tape when this happens is to go through a firmware upgrade where it runs a test and then the tape will pop out. The only way to resolve this is to unload all the software and reload and try again, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I hope someone can help.

Re: HP DAT24i

go in the control panel and under services,
search for "removable storage"
double click on it and stop the service
(this service is used by W2kNtbackup and could create problem wiht other BU software)

Meloni:
As indicated I have tried what you have suggested and disabled the Removable storage. Tried this on a reboot, then tried Protected storage, tried this on a reboot, then disabled both of them and rebooted.

Same error message"No media Found".

Re: HP DAT24i

hi
take in mind that if you just stop the service, at the first reboot it will restart automaticaly, If you want to reboot your system, then stopt the service and put it in manual or disable
bye
