HP LTO 5 Ultrium tape drive not showing in device manager

My HP Ultrium 3000 external tape drive is not being detected by the computer at all. I've tried everything I could find with regard to installing drivers, checking compatibility, etc, but to no avail.

Symptoms:
* The tape drive powers up correctly, and the status LED stabilises into ready state
* The SAS controller shows up in Device Manager, but the tape drive does not
* HPE Library and Tape Tools Version 6.05 does not detect the tape drive, only the controller

Tape drive:
* Hardware: HP LTO-5 Ultrium 3000.
* Driver Download Title: HPE StoreEver Tape Drivers for Windows 4.6.0.0.
* Relevant Driver: HP LTO Tape Drive 1.0.9.4

SAS controller:
* Hardware: HP smart Array E208e-p SR Gen 10
* Relevant driver: 1010.84.0.1012

SAS cable:
* Hardware: External SAS 6Gb/s cable
* Spare P/n: 717429-001

Operating system:
* Windows Server 2022 standard, 64-bit

Server: HPE Prolient DL360 Gen 10

I appreciate any advice you can provide - many thanks in advance for your help in resolving this issue.

@yashwantsingh

The Server, OS, Controller cable is all compatible with each other except the drive. E208e-p starts supporting LTO6 onwards. Do check the below-mentioned link to check the compatible Tape drives for this controller and server model.

Hope this helps..
