I loaded MS Windows Win2K Advanced Server on to an HP NetLPR system.
After installing new drivers (from Windows Update) for the Raid Controller, after a reboot, the system is saying it found new hardware, specifically: RAID DummyDevice SCSI Other Device
I am not sure where to proceed from here. It does it after every reboot. Was it a mistake to install the drivers from Microsoft? Is there something else I need to do?
Any help appreciated.
Jeff

Integrated HP NetRAID - V.2.66

Solution
I think the problem might be the drivers you installed from Windows update. The RAID controller should be NetRAID and I really don't think you can update them with MSUpdate. Go to hp.com, download the latest drivers and install them manually.
Also I'd suggest checking that you have latest BIOS for server and the RAID controller.

Arimo

Re: HP NetLPR DummyDevice question
As they say, you are the man!
I downloaded the driver:
hp_netserver_lpr_Drivers_for_Windows_2000 from:
http://h20004.www2.hp.com/soar_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50457en_US.html
I did an update on the driver, rebooted the system, and everything worked great!
Thanks for the tip, that page is very helpful as well because it gives you a bunch of drivers, in all OS's, for the HP Netserver.
