Hp Personal Media Drive
the request could not be performed because of an I/O error
Ok When i Plug my HPPMD into the socket on my PC it works fine. But when i connect it to my Dell Laptop Via USB cable it wont allow me access to it. I havent used the USB cable provided by HP but its as good as because all USBs for this are standard right.
im guessing its a cable problem but i was wondering if anyone could help if its not thanks

Re: Hp Personal Media Drive
Hi Austen,
Unfortunately, this isn't quite the right to deal with your issue. This forum generally deals with HP tape drive and library questions however we won't leave you high and dry...
Here's a link to an HP troubleshooting page for HP Personal Media Drives that you may find helpful:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00220412&lc=en&cc=us〈=en&product=501352&dlc=en
If you're still having issues after following the above link try posting on our Windows forum:

Hope this helps,
Russell
