HP storageworks DAT 72 USB on Windows 2000 ntbackup

I'm considering buying the HP storageworks DAT 72 USB (internal) drive. Will a Windows 2000 Server SP4 recognize this tape drive? If yes, can I use NTBACKUP as backup software with this tape drive? I'm asking this because I've had problems with a Iomega backup drive.

Native backup works fine, use the HP drivers that come on the CD. The drive also comes with a nice backup application.
