HPE Smart Array E208e‑p SR Gen10 not showing up in Alletra 4120
Hi,
We just added a HPE Smart Array E208e controller to a HPE Alletra 4120 single CPU server, but cannot seem to get it to work. It has been added to PCIe slot 3 (bottom left hand side as seen from the rear of the server), and from the ILO interface it appears, but without a firmware version.
From the RBSU we cannot see it at all.
A HPE SAS tape library is attached to it.
In PCIe slot 1 we have dual 25G NIC which works just fine.
What may cause the E208e to not be visible in RBSU (and windows - of course), but visible in the ILO interface?
/mikkel

Re: HPE Smart Array E208e‑p SR Gen10 not showing up in Alletra 4120
Hi,
Kindly follow the steps below for further troubleshooting:
Power down the server completely.
Reseat the HPE Smart Array E208e controller firmly in PCIe slot 3.
Inspect the PCIe slot and the controller’s connector for any physical damage or debris.
Update the server BIOS and all other firmware using the latest SPP.
Update the firmware for the HPE Smart Array E208e-p SR Gen10 Controller.
Try installing the controller in a different PCIe slot.
If after these steps the controller remains unrecognized in RBSU, you will likely need to engage HPE Support.
