L&TT Not Identifying MSL 2024

We have an MSL 2024 we are trying to setup and the server we have installed the L&TT software on keeps getting an error when we run the scan for the drive unit. It tells us "Unrecognized SCSI Adapter at address '1/0.255.0', driver: Unknown driver". When you expand this node it says "Unexpected Win32 error encountered during I/O scanning: 2." What steps can we take to troubleshoot this?

How is the termination and cabling configured? MSL is a Fibre unit that is connected to a Storageworks fibre switch. Also have ethernet port of MSL connected to network switch. Can successfully access web interface of MSL via web browser.

Are you using the latest StorageWorks Tape Drivers for W2008 R2?

Went through the whole tree and I got down to where it says to check the switch configuration. I don't have access to that so as soon as the person that does comes back, we will check that out.

Can you generate and post the support ticket? I'm aware that the scan blows up but this might contain some useful information.

Start from the top again.
What does Device Manager say about your current driver? Version? You may need to re-install it.

What is the HBA model FW, BIOS, Driver?

We resolved the issue (or got around it) by connecting the MSL directly to the server (via Fiber) versus via the Storageworks switch.
