MSL2024? Best with 1 x 960 or 2 x 920 drives
I am looking at purchasing a MSL 2024 tape library but am unsure of which one would be best, I am using Backup Exec 10d and have a 6 hour window to backup 750GB, currently using a Ultrium 3 960 External SCSI device which is fine and completes in 5 hours. I need to know if I purchase the MSL 2024 with 2 920 drives, do both the drives work at the same time when backing up with Backup Exec so reducing the time required for backing up or do the drives work one at a time.
If you could also let me know what would be the quickest way to connect the library to the server (GL380 G4) currently using a U320 SCSI card, would SAS be faster for both drives?
Finally can you please let me know the part numbers for the MSL 2024 SAS with 2 920 drives and a SAS card that will work with the DL380 (G4)

I'm afraid if you use the MSL2024 you need to upgrade to Backup EXEC 11 to work properly. Not really sure.
But you can go to this link and check the compatibility with your software.

Then, from the right side click on the link "EBS Compatibility Matrix"
