MSL5026, v35 Firmware Causes Tape Corruption

Has anyone seen widespread problems with the V35 firmware for 110/220 SDLT drives that causes tape corruption (per Advisory EX02830_CW01)? I have about 60 tapes that were initially ready by this firmware, and they seem to be failing (CRC Errors, Calibration times of 45 minutes, SCSI Timeouts, etc) consistently. Degaussing the tapes has not fixed the problem. Using Backup Exec 8.6 with Veritas drivers, current firmware is V51.
