msl6060 connect

Hello,

there's a msl6060 library with 2x lto-2 and 1x nsr e1200. On the other end, there's a lp2000r netserver with a fca2214 hba and win2k.

But: Theres no fc switch. Is it supported, to connect the msl6060 via fc to the lp2000r without fc switch?

Yes, you can connect the library directly with FC HBA.

Yes a point-to-point fibre connection between the netserver and the NSR router in the MSL library is supported.

You don't have a SAN witch around with two free ports? Then the library could be used by all of the servers connected to the SAN switch.

You'll need to configure the e1200 for AL and perhaps hardcode the AL address. I had do do this to support a direct connection to an HPUX server.

Hard AL_PA was not neccessary.

Absolutely important:
The correct mapping in the mapping menu of the nsr!
