MSL8096 Stops writing on all (four) drives when moving one tape to one drive.
Hi,
I have an issue with MSL8096 (extended with additional MSL4048).
It has 4 drives, 2 seated in the 8096 and 2 seated in the 4048.
It works as it should writing to all drives. However when ever one drive needs a new tape mounted, it stops writing to on all drives until the old tape has been removed and the new moved into position.
I can't find any information why this is happening. Is this by-design?
Think it would make more sense to continue writing on the 3 drives that have tapes mounted.
I also can't see any reason in my backup-software for this to occur, using Bacula with a very basic configuration setup.
Any pointers to why this is happening would be very appreciated, or if it is by-design that it should stop writing across all drives.
Thanks in advance,
/pelle
