Need ASC and ASCQ codes for MSL 6000
Low level interogation of the elements of the library indicate the following for slots 0,1,and 29:
slots:
0. accessible(1) abnormal(1) full(1) ASC(83)ASCQ(9) Label(),src_addr(65535), errno(0x8)
1. accessible(1) abnormal(1) full(1) ASC(83) ASCQ(9) Label(),src_addr(65535), errno(0x8)
--- 2 -28 report OK condition ---
29. accessible(1) abnormal(1) full(1) ASC(83) ASCQ(9) Label(), src_addr(65535), errno(0x8)
--
We believe this is causing a return error to our driver and we need to know how to resolve this. Other hardware vendors publish this information, however a review of HPs documentation provides none of this low level error detail we need to resolve this.
Thanks,
George Sokolowsky

Are the ASC/ASCQs listed in hex?
0x83, 0x09 = No barcode label detected

Re: Need ASC and ASCQ codes for MSL 6000
as can be seen by the 0x08, the rest of the values are not hex!
Hi George,
I have been looking for the codes, could only find something general:
http://www.tu-darmstadt.de/hrz/tsm/doku/books/messages/html/anrc0028.htm
If the values are compatible, then it points to a problem with loading/unloading.
but David probably can tell more about it.
greetings,
Michael

I try not to make any assumptions (e.g. maybe two different folks added to the print routine). That's why I asked:-)
The decimal combination doesn't exist. These are the closest:
53h 00h MEDIA LOAD OR EJECT FAILED
53h 02h MEDIUM REMOVAL PREVENTED
This is the "master" list of standard ASC/ASCQs we usually reference:
http://www.t10.org/lists/asc-num.htm
(note: they are listed in hex). The only 83 (dec) is the same 0x53/0x00 listed above.
If you could provide me the whole sense data (i.e. all of the bytes), and the firmware revision of the library, I can go back to the engineering team.
Also, is their an FC router in the loop? Occasionally sense data can actually be coming from the router.
