Hi,
A Data Protector media can only be used by Data Protector, the data format is not compatible with any other application.

Re: NT Backup using tape that has been formated in DP

Hi,

I am not absolute sure here but I remember I have seen this question before. NTbackup can only use blank media or media in NTbackup format. If this is true, the only option is to degauss (bulk erase) the media which will be a rather expensive alternative unless you have a very large number of medias.

Hi Leif,

Do you have any docs of that NTbackup cannot see the DPbackup disk?

How I do if I want to force format the DP media in NTbackup.
