ntbackup does not recognize ultrium 1 tape drive

Hi,
(windows 2003 standard server sp1)
after deinstalling CA arcserve it is not possible to make a new backup with NTBackup.
The ultrium drive (Q1517A)does not seem to be recognized.
With HP LT Tools I made a firmware update and the drive seems ok!
Does anyone know how to add the ultrium to NTBackup???

regards,
PV

Remove it from device manager, reboot and allow to recognize it newly.Eventually force the driver update.

Re: ntbackup does not recognize ultrium 1 tape drive

You will need the HP dirver for Ultrium (downlaod from hp.com). ntbackup requires the removeable storage manager service to be running. You may have loaded CA driver for ARCServer to be used.
