Permissible Number of Writes for an LTO9 Cartridge
Hello, good day,
I have a question regarding an LTO9 cartridge. How many times can it be written to, and will writing more than a certain number of times cause damage to the drive? If there is an official source from the HPE website, please let me know.
Thank you.
Best regards.

Re: Permissible Number of Writes for an LTO9 Cartridge
Hello@mohddlrd,
The LTO-9 tape cartridges are designed to provide reliable and long-term data storage, as they are very durable and can withstand a high number of loads and unloads but the HPE website does not specify the number of times we can read and write to the HPE LTO 9 Tape cartridges. If we write too many times, the cartridge might be damaged.

Hope this helps!
Regards,
Venkat
