problem with hp SuperStore DAT 24
I use NTBACKUP as Software and 3 cadridges for day and week backup.
For one, NTBACKUP says that's not the good cadridge, an other, I can't read it anymore.
And my cleaning cadridge is eject when I try to clean my drive...
What's the matter ?
Thank you for your help !

Re: problem with hp SuperStore DAT 24
1. the cleaning cartridge cycle is performed in this way: you insert the cleaning cartridge, the cartridge is loaded, the cartridge stay inside for 30 to 60 seconds, and it is ejected.
so if your cartridge is ejected after that time, cleaning process took place.
2. you have to understand if the problem is hardware/tape related or sw related.
You can try to catalog again the tree tape and se if the catalogue process is ok.
You can also run a diagnostic tool provvided by HP, lIBRARY&TtAPEtOOL that will help to understand what is the problem, this tool can collect data inside the DAT24 for analysis, and also run test on the tapes, If you want to check if there is problems with one tape, you can run the "media validation test" that will not touch your data, but will tell you if data are valid.
