Problems with Overland Loaderxpress tape unit
Hi, we are having a problem with our tape unit, we are using Netvault 7.1 with a Overland LoaderXpress Autoloader. We are getting regular failed backups. These backups seem to be timing out on us. We have changed the scsi card, cable and terminator and also changed drivers etc. The windows system logs show an Event ID 11 source hplto (The driver detected a controller error on \device\tape0)and also a Event ID 9 source symmpi (the device \device\scsi\symmpi1 did not respond within timeout). The Tape drive then shows up as offline in Netvault device manager and only a server reboot will bring it back online. Manual commands from the units front panel work ok whilst drive shows offline status. SCSI card is an LSI Ultra 320. Can anyone shed any light on this.
