scsi cable for connecting an external sdlt 320 to a alphaserver es47

Hi there

I must be able to use this external tapedrive on my a es47 alphaserver.
I found that this scsi adapter will do the job : Ultra3 (LVD) SCSI adapter 3X-KZPEA-DB.This adapter requires 3X-BC56J-xx cables.

But my vendor has only those cables :
vhdci/vhdci 6ft 341174-B21 and vhdci/wide 6ft 341176-B21.
Are these cables OK for connecting my sdlt ?

Thanks,
D.T.

Please see link below:

I've found as long as the connectors match up on each end, it should work.

Most SCSI cables used by DEC/Compaq are industry standard. The differences are connectors (metal, plastic or combination) and sheilding.

The link above is HP SCSI cabling and shows cables with both ends the same or cables with one type on an end and a different connector on the other. You should just need to match up each end, for this to work.

Good Luck,
Louis
