Howdy,
I am using Quantum SDLT-1 tape cartridges with HP OmniBack Data Protector 5.0, on a Compaq Storageworks MSL5026 Library.
Could you tell me what block size should i use for best performance ? Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Scrivano

Re: SDLT-1 Tape Block Size - Omniback DP 5.0
At least not 2K blocks. Try blocks >=8K: 32K, 16K, 8K

Re: SDLT-1 Tape Block Size - Omniback DP 5.0
Hi,
If your using SDLT220 you can use 64K block size per device,and don't forget to apply an update firmware and driver for this kind of tape.
Try it..
