Special Encryption on SDLT tapes using Data Protector 5.0

Is there a way to add encryption to backup tapes using Data Protector 5.0?
Due to security risks, I have to make sure our backup tapes have encrytion on them so none else could read them. My servers are running HP-UX 11.00 and the library that I'm using is a MSL5052 SDLT library.
